How it works
Sentai is a smart voice companion designed to enable digital care. It uses clever technology; bringing together motion sensors and Amazon Alexa as the microphone and speaker to provide timely reminders, AI-powered conversation and activity monitoring to care clients.
Hi Sue, Jacky is up and about and has had her pills this morning. Would you like to check-in with her today?

Key features of Sentai
Sentai enables care providers to extend their services into digital care through an integrated ecosystem of smart technology.
Sentai provides timely reminders, voice-enabled chat and movement monitoring for care clients, helping them stay connected to their carers and offering peace of mind that help is at hand when needed.
Care providers can connect to the Sentai dashboard for insight into the wellbeing, needs and daily routines of their clients, to provide ongoing monitoring, identify emerging issues, or to prepare for an in-person visit.
We’ll check in on the cared for person from time to time to make sure they’re ok. Their response will be fed through to an activity app, keeping carers and care providers up-to-date.
Sentai can remind the older person to take their medication, simply add the time of day and which medication needs to be taken to the app, and we’ll let them know – at any time of day with 24/7 availability.
Using the handy clicker, the care recipient can call for quick help. Through natural conversation, Sentai will find out what has happened and send priority alerts to the carer and the management console dashboard. This ensures a quick response and provides valuable insight on critical and non-critical incidents for care providers.
Pressing and holding the handy clicker (or clicking and saying help) activates the quick help function. Sentai will ask a couple of questions to understand the problem and send notifications to the app and the dashboard to let you know.
Sentai takes care of the day-to-day tasks providing plenty of reminders. Whether that’s reminding the care receiver to put the bins out, upcoming appointments or simply prompting to eat lunch.
By having multiple sensors around the home, Sentai can not only notify the carer via the app when the older person goes to bed, but we can also give gentle reminders too.

Valuable insight on client needs
The Sentai centralised management platform enables complete visibility of connected clients, viewing multiple clients on a single dashboard. Role based access ensures that client data is visible only to authorised staff members.
Knowing who’s up and moving, who’s still in bed, or who’s taking their medication or not enables awareness of any breaks to the usual client behaviour and enables better management of home visits.
If a client responds “no” to a medication reminder, or simply doesn’t respond at all, Sentai will notify the carer.
Alerts can be set to inform the care team if a specific client hasn’t moved and hasn’t responded during a specific time frame.
If the client presses their quick help button, carers (and family if enabled) are notified with the reported problem, the time and if the client can reach the phone.
Regular digital care check-ins can be set to check in with the client and establish their well-being.
The care team can reach out to a client via a text message in the management platform. Once received via audio on Alexa, the carer receives confirmation, and the client can reply by simply telling Sentai what they want to say.
The care team can customise any reminder to any client. Anything from drinking more water to letting them know of a specific visitor.
